Effective Treatment for Plantar Fasciitis in Raleigh, Henderson and Surrounding Areas
Does your heel ache or burn when you first get out of bed in the morning? Does it hurt worse after a physical activity like walking or running? Has the level of pain been increasing? If so, you may need plantar fasciitis treatment. Don’t ignore your symptoms; visit the Raleigh or Henderson care team at Family Foot & Ankle Center.
Plantar fasciitis is an injury caused by overuse and affects the fibrous, tough band of tissue called fascia on the soles of your feet. People likely to develop the condition include some athletes and people with jobs that require prolonged walking and standing on hard surfaces. While it can also affect younger athletes, it is most commonly seen in men and women between 40-60 years old, especially if they have high or low arches.
Try Non-Invasive Solutions
Don’t avoid treatment because you think it will require surgery. The majority of cases do not need invasive solutions. After we’ve determined that you don’t need heel spur treatment or have a stress fracture, we will work with you to develop a tailored regimen including a combination of stretching exercises and anti-inflammatory medication. We may also discuss the need for possible temporary cessation of aggravating activities.
Healing may take some time. Ignoring the painful problem, however, will not make it go away. Instead, it may turn into a chronic condition. Worsening pain can throw off your gait, potentially causing problems in your knees, hips and your back. We will provide the support you need to successfully heal your foot.
